Levothyroxine Overmedication ?

Hi Everyone. I have posted on this forum before and found the advice useful so here goes..

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism nearly a year ago now, and my GP has gradually increased my dosage of Levo from 50mcg to 150 mcg in 25 mcg steps.

I had my latest blood test about 4 weeks ago-- results attached (hopefully) and decided (with GP agreement) to increase to 175 mcg. However for the past couple of weeks I have started going backwards in terms of symptoms i.e increased aching, tiredness plus insomnia ,anxiety and diarrhea to boot

The reason I went for the increase in Levo was to try and get the TSH below 1 which I understand is a good place to be.

I am wondering if I am now over medicated.I have another blood test booked in 2 weeks but not sure whether to carry on with 175 mcg Levo until then as I feel a bit 'wired'

Has anyone had a similar experience ?

Your above thyroid results are ok, the TSH is only just over, perhaps if you feel you are being over medicated on 175 mcg then split the dose ie 175 one day, 150 next, 175 next etc. Some even have one dose Mon-Fri and another dose Sat-Sun! But if you change dose it is not worth testing again till you have been on one dosing regime for 6 weeks. Your b12 is on the low side, better near the top of range, and vit D needs raising a bit to 100-150( though lots of sunshine might do this naturally).
