Spirolactone and horniness

I’m on 150mg of spirolactone a day , I’m literally having depression just because increasing the dose makes me more horny and more into sexual things but I still need the medication to combat pcos symptoms!

Any thoughts on this ? 😢

Cause in whatever situation lol I will be thinking about sex , I forgot my pills for two days and I literally was feeling normal !

I think that is normal for women pre-menopause and men always!

I take metformin for pcos could you not suggest to your gp you try that instead

Definitely doesn’t give me a high sex drive far from it my libido is on the floor

Metformin is used to treat insuline resistant but in my case I need an antiandrogen 😭

It’s worth having a chat with your gp about metformin too as it’s used to treat pcos not just insulin resistance and my gp seems to think it’s an antiandrogen too! So many conflicting opinions:/
