Hyper treatment options

I’ve have read up on hyper treatment options and I’m so stuck. The cause of mine is toxic nodule so unlike cases with autoimmune I would have to remain on anti thyroid medication life long.

Since my first and only endo appointment the consultant has been urging I agree to RAI. With all I read about it, I should refuse, which leaves surgery. This has risks too, especially as I’m morbidly obese. Being hyper didn’t even lead to any weight loss! What will I be like when I do have to be treated and become hypo?

The fact is apart from the nodule which is noticeable I have next to no symptoms so opting for any treatment leaves me choosing a course which could make me ill and far worse off.

There are alternatives, at least in theory:

Radiofrequency ablation for the treatment of autonomously functioning thyroid nodules.
