Yeh I know 🤔 funny that you disnt take into account id just been zapped full pelt with radiation ...me not think ppls thyroids like them and it shows severely after 7-10 days and it's a real rough ride .why disnt I realise when I worked in a bank I was screwed every weekend my life deteriorated quickly .🤔
Don't think I'll be going on holidays abroad again that's for sure I realise what causes my episodes now ...

few pages on there worth a read . we being given this on a daily basis and no-one detoxes there system why is this not known it cant just be me

I wouldn't worry about having that appointment; it is clear your GP is rather out of their depth. Seeing someone different may be helpful.
Whatever the outcome, it's important they look at ALL of your symptoms... physical ones especially.. It is very likely that the root cause of your allergic response, inflammation, cognitive decline and fatigue is due to something tangible like a candida overgrowth or chronic vitamin deficiency with high homocysteine levels and blood tests must be done to find out what they are. In the meantime I recommend you look up symptoms of deficiencies in b12, folate, b6, zinc, iron and vitamin d.. Most (good) mental health practitioners should realise that low b12, for example, can lead to emotional outbursts and cognitive as well as physical decline.
Make sure they also look into the possibility that you were struggling to convert Levo into t3 which could be why it made you feel awful. Many on this forum take NDT or t3 only because Levo did not agree with them at all and depression is a symptom of poor conversion (low t3).
Hiya thanks so much for reply I have just had my appt with mental health and yes we butted heads but I am and have the facts . I gave up meds in January and started a detox and back To basics approach with foods and liquids and a couple of other things and was told by the nurse today that I looked great and clean .

And intend on staying that way ...

Have you tried different brands of medication? All have fillers in them. They are necessary to bulk them up or you wouldn't see the amount of medication as it's so small and they also are necessary to keep it stable. You can get a liquid form as well which is clean but tended to be given on a need to have basis as expensive.
We can have reaction to fillers on any brand but thankfully most can find one they are happy with. If that makes a difference then get it out in your doctors notes and at the pharmacy that is your must have medication.
Have you had Vit D, B12, folate and ferritin checked? If these aren't optimal, not just in range then that can affect things as well plus many of us need to supplement as low readings is normal for many of us. When optimal if also makes your thyroid work better, helps conversion issues, I reversed mine, and can get some symptoms reduced. So worthwill checking those anyway. Be aware though it you need to supplement its usually for life and also remember nothing in the Thyroid world works quickly so it can take time to work through things for it to make a difference.

I really hope they can help you. Well I always take the risk of preaching to the converted, sorry, but time has shown so many are given the meds and that's it! No other help so often do a basic run through in the hope of they don't need that someone else may read and learn!

Hiya I took my 19 year old son with me to appt.
She was fine with me at 1st . Told her what I'd been up to and was looking at starting a business managing and feeling alot better than I have done in 10 years. My son backed this up.
She was all made up didnt think I need to be seen by them was going to refer me back to my gp.
Then she asked if I was still taking my 120mg duloxetine .
As soon as I said nar I stopped that with the levothyroxine in January she became a different person .
She told me I should never have stopped it and why wasn't they aware of this .
I said I felt like I was being poisoned and had to cold turkey all on my own.
She looked puzzled .
Scribbled down the mental health teams number and gave it to my 19 year old son .
Wow bite lip moment .
I asked her why she did that when I've told her I'm fine .
Well I was . I said do not give my child any responsibility over my welfare . . He's my child !
She knew she had pushed my button and accused me of being irrational as I snatched the Peice of paper out of his hand .
Wasn't plesent but realized where we was heading .
She said she wasn't ready to discharge me yet
I agreed to see her again in 4 weeks.
And left by the skin of my teeth .
Still hanging on by the skin of my teeth .
But at least I've got skin and teeth to hang on to 😉.
