Sorry if this has been posted before, but it struck a chord with me
It's been a few years since you found out I'll be with you for life.
I am very evasive. I do not always show up when you analyse your blood
People around you can't see me or hear me, but your body does. I can attack you anywhere and any way you choose. For example, tingling or pain in the hands.
Remember when you had a lot of energy and had a lot of fun! Well, sometimes I remove your energy, and I leave you exhausted... I diminish your memory or part of your concentration.
I can make you sleep for many hours, or I can cause insomnia. Make you tremble or feel cold or heat, when for all others the temperature is normal.
I can make your feet or hands swell, your face and eyelids swell... I can make you feel very anxious, or give you panic attacks.
I'm very complicated...
Do you remember the sudden mood swing? Yeah, it's me... crying for no reason? ... feeling pissed off for no reason? And yes, it's me, too.
I can make your hair fall out, get dry and fragile, cause acne, cause dry skin, I have no boundaries or borders.
I will make you gain weight, no matter what or how much you eat or exercise.
Doing activities like walking or doing other exercises won't take me out of your body, but it will help me calm down.
I know, you will become responsible to get me out.
The treatments and controls help me relax for periods.
I can make your cholesterol high, or have blood pressure problems, or other problems... this is me
Air failure? I elevate liver enzymes. I cause dental problems or gum disease.
You will feel tired..., and your family and friends will be tired of hearing again and again how "bad I feel".
They do not know that I withdraw part of the energy that your body and your mind need daily to perform your activities.
They will not understand you because, this disease attacks your body from the tip of your hair to the tip of your foot, and that each cell and organ of your body requires the appropriate amount of thyroid hormones that I have stopped.
So, don't stop taking those pills every morning that the doctor gave you... they replace the t4 hormone I've diminished.
Although I don't like them very much, because I can't do so many jokes on you, I know it will help you feel better.
With love ♥ ️...
