NDT + levothyroxine

Read on another forum, someone takes a small amount of NDT, I assume for the t3 ? but also takes levothyroxine

I didn’t comment but it has made me wonder if they’re doing more harm than good

Maybe if they can't get their levels up, I've seen it mentioned that sine add T4 to NDT to get T4 up & was thinking might need to try this.

You can mix different thyroid hormones. If you increase slowly always taking account of your symptoms you will soon realise if you've taken too much and drop to previous dose. We would get symptoms of 'too much' and reduce our dose.

p.s. the above doctor woud never prescribe levo - only NDT or T3 for thyroid hormone resistant patients.
