Hi I wondered if anyone could shed some light on these results & if it even warrants a referral.. I got them done with medichecks, but reluctant to even suggest a referral from my GP to endo .. these are saliva tests... I had the same tests done 4 years ago with DHEA all showed high, but the endo I seen at the time said we don’t take into Acc saliva testing so just got disregarded... these are my resent cortisol xx

Cushings ? Would my GP refer on these results alone? X
If you are having symptoms of Cushings Disease, then ask your GP fora cortisol blood test and have it as early in the morning as you can (8-9 am) as this is when it should be at its highest level.

I’ve had a morning blood test which fell in range, so I ordered these saliva tests instead that’s why I don’t think it’s even worth showing them, xx
To help diagnose Cushing's disease or syndrome then ask your GP to do a 24 hour urine test & also a Dexamethasone suppression test to see if you have high cortisol levels. Symptoms of Cushing's include: weight gain especially around your tummy with legs & arms remaining skinny; round face; high BP; insomnia; excess facial hair; thinning of skin, easily bruising; stretch marks; flushed face; muscle weakness. If you have any of these then pursue testing for Cushing's. I can help further if you want as I have had Cushing's & am admin for a support group.
Hi thank you for ur reply, yes I have most of those symptoms have gained 3stone in 12 months & literally is just my face & stomach, I barely eat, high bp, insomnia, thin skin (to the point you can see all my veins & this has never been the case b4) extreme fatigue & extreme brain fog. I just keep getting told it’s anxiety, but I can barely get out of bed most days... I’ve ordered a private 24hr urine so just waiting for results.. I want to get as much info together as possible so they have no choice but to refer me, can I get a private Dexamethasone test dya think?.. is there any other tests I should get, 4 years ago I seen an endo and showed them saliva tests for cortisol & DHEA and they dismissed them & so I guess this is where am at now n a little worried they’ll do the same again xx
I don't expect that you would be able to get a private Dex test done. Not all Endo's are conversant with pituitary/adrenal issues so it's important to go to one that is. If your GP says it's too rare to have then ask him what all these symptoms could be? Photos of how you have changed are good too, to show the difference. If you are on Facebook there is a group that I am Admin for called Cushing's UK, we can help you further with getting the right Endo to treat you.
Yes thanks for that, yes I’m on the Facebook group for that too I think, if not will join it now, yes would really appreciate guidance on good Endo to get referral to xxx
