I currently take 27mcg sustained release t3 once a day in the am. But by 9-10 hours later my free t3 is already back down too low. Should I try splitting the dose, like taking one 14mcg pill in the am and one 14mcg pill in the early afternoon? And does Sustained Release t3 need to be taken on an empty stomach?

Sorry, know nothing about sustained release T3 - we don't often see it. I take regular t3 three times a day. But if your free T3 is too low after 9-10 hours, you need a dose increase. Normally, you would leave 8-12 hours between t3 dose and blood draw.
