Hi is it possible that poor t4 t3 conversion causes pre diabetes and high cholesterol?

I'm not qualified to answer that specific question about conversion, but I do know an underactive thyroid elevates cholesterol, causes rapid weight gain and lowers blood pressure. You'll find as your TSH levels drop so too will your cholesterol. Eat plenty of porridge to lower cholesterol, it's been proved it works better than any of the products you can buy. I entered the pre-diabetes range a few years ago after being palmed off with out of date liothyronine and gained two stones. I've kept my weight in check and am now within normal range.
Low T3 can cause high cholesterol, but pre diabetes (and high triglycerides) are usually insulin resistance - too many carbohydrates and processed foods.
