Q10
What do you mean by 'for Hashimoto's'? What do you expect it to do for Hashimoto's?
There are people who think everyone should take Q10 for more energy. I tried it, it didn't give me energy.
People taking statins should take Q10 because the statins block the Q10 in the cells. But, I've never heard of it doing anything special for Hashi's.
"Yet another study confirmed that serum CoQ10 levels in hyperthyroidism were significantly lower than that of euthyroid subjects, while in hypothyroidism, serum CoQ10 levels did not show any significant difference from that of euthyroid subjects".

I don't think CoQ10 will change anything related to Hashis, but it is good for heart health.
I tried it out a year or so ago, and felt a small improvement, so have kept taking it. That's all you can do, really. Give it a whirl and see how you feel.
What attracted me to try Coenzyme Q10 is that I was leafing through a very basic biology book, and saw that they include Coenzyme Q10 as something the body needs to make energy even in that simple version of the story. Because thyroid hormone is also required to make energy, I thought I might as well make sure my body has enough of everything else it needs.(I always think that if I could understand all this Krebbs cycle stuff things would make more sense to me!)..
