Hi there, I have been prescribed carbimazole again as my thyroid is back overactive after 2 years normal, previously I was on amdipharm brand which I was fine on (I’d had reactions to other brands) however this time they have given me flamingo ?!?! What brands are other people on and has anyone had any reactions to different brands? TIA

Sorry cannot help with the brands Just wondered if you have any test results you can share and who prescribed the meds for an over-active thyroid ? Did you have any anti-body tests done ? - if so which ones ?
They appear to have gained their UK marketing authorisation in April last year, so might be assumed to be perfectly sound. mhra.gov.uk/home/groups/par...
The only thing of importance is are they effective for you, and do the inactive ingredients suit you. The experience of others, good or bad, might be very different from your experience and of little use in making comparisons. The only way to know your reaction really, is to try them.

Had an emergency blood test Friday morning results came back last night, TSH suppressed and t4 41.2
That’s all the results they gave me so far, I have rung every chemist to try and get amdipharm but no luck anywhere
