I noticed this couple days ago, possible thyroid nodule? It moves up and down when I swallow or move my tongue, but it isn't hard and is slightly move-able.
The lump is NOT my adams apple (my adams apple is not prominent at all).
I would go the doctor but I'm in spain for the whole of february. Any advice/reassurance?
Much appreciated 👍

Am sorry you’re worried and are unable to see a doctor until March.
Although I have Hashimoto’s, I have no experience of thyroid nodules so don’t know what they look like although photos I have seen on the Net indicate they produce quite a bulge on the neck if they are visible at all.
However, I know little pea-size lumps can result from spots sometimes. Could this be a little cyst arising from a spot? I think anything on your throat would move when you swallow.
I have found the following link which I hope is helpful.
This article does indicate that nodules are usually felt as a lump in the throat. Yours looks quite superficial. Do you feel any discomfort when you swallow?
At any rate, this article and another I found do say that the majority (over 95%) of thyroid nodules are benign so try not to worry.
Enjoy your stay in Spain and see your GP on your return. I hope he will be able to put your mind at rest.
Thanks Caroline for taking the time to respond. I don't feel a lump in the throat or any discomfort, but it's not a spot, it's definitely under the skin. I will keep an eye on it and see if it gets any bigger. Thanks again.
I have a small solid lump right under my Adam’s Apple, very alight to the (my) left. It almost feels like it’s cartilage but I’m not sure if I’ve ever noticed it before... It moves up and down when I swallow etc but it doesn’t move when I push it about. Like I say most likely part of the cartilage but can’t seem to find any information on it...
Went to docs and he couldn’t say for sure what it was, possibly some extra cartilage as it felt unusual. He said 99.9% it’s nothing to worry about but to keep an eye on it. I shouldn’t be such a hypochondriac but I can’t help worrying that it’s in the 0.1%...
Hello, turns out it’s just part of the cartilage. Got scans etc. They did find a small lump on my thyroid that’s is also nothing to worry about. Apparently half the population are walking around with thyroid nodules and they are very common but rarely anything to be concerned about. If you have one, get it checked for sure but don’t lose sleep over it. Take care.
