Or do some people still feel the cold? Just wondering.

Does everybody who is hypo stop feeling the cold so much once optimally medicated?
Feeling cold is not a universal symptom of being hypothyroid, many of us feel overheated.
My wife having taken T4 for nearly 50 years and feeling otherwise well on it, would definitely tell you that feeling cold when others feel OK and having poor control of temperature is one of the things that has not been cured.
I am always freezing and I am optimally medicated on a t4/t3 combination. I was actually asked if I was sure I wasn’t dead by one of patient as my hands are that cold 😂
I am optimally medicated on T4/3 combo and am always cold. Consequently I keep our house like a hothouse for tropical plants and husband complains all the time (but has to put up with it). We have an Aga that never goes off, even in summer and I have a hot water bottle all year round. Anyone else this bad??
Even at my worst, about 25-30 years ago (but not diagnosed) I was never that bad. But if I got really cold it could take an hour to warm up - I once sat in front of the fire with a blanket round me and it was an hour before I warmed up.
Your hubby needs a string vest and string underpants for indoors 😁
I will pass on your string vest idea. Not sure he will go for it, however. He would prefer to turn down the thermostat.
I feel generally less cold since I've been medicated (not yet optimal, mind), but my hands can get freezing cold, and I find that puzzling,as my body as such may be warm (or bearable), but not my hands.
Feet still cold, socks in bed but beta blockers may now be the cause.
I take a hot bath every night and jump under the covers just to warm enough to fall asleep. Even then sometimes I use a heated rice bag on my feet too.
