I have hashimotis. Over Christmas I did not watch what I ate (gluten) and drank a fair bit of alcohol. I now have very tight neck feeling, sore throat and feeling so horrible.
Would this be a flare up from my poor eating?
Also I used to be having Almond Milk and have switched back to dairy because of the warning on thyriod patiences. Has anybody else seen this? I am so confused as to what milk I can have.

Heh Hashm the combination of alcohol and the other foods you may enjoy even if you avoid gluten for Hashimotos, might trigger your symptoms. The choice of milk may be
difficult if you have dairy, egg, and other food intolerances. I have a dairy intolerance so have had to cut down the lactase in cheese which is in every type of cheese but to a lesser extent about 2grams in hard cheeses. I now use lactase free milk. However as I have related sinus problems, I have to watch the amount of lactase free milk as it is cow's milk and can set off sinusitis. If you can find articles on Mast cell activation syndrome
and Celiac disease and histamine food intolerances eg jessicamadden.com this might show that in the US multigrain is a factor in food intolerances linked to hashi's.
Alcahol might burn your throat if it is high alcohol and if it is whisky may be derived from wheat. Other beers are made from barley, and some from barley malt.
Celiac disease is often linked with Hashimotos, so may be you should check for other potential histamine producing foods which give rise to inflammation. Only answer is to drink as much water to wash out the toxins and check what sort of dairy problems you have. I take an antihistamine every day from prescription which helps but still have to screen out those intolerances which are upsetting me.
