Green and Black's dark chocolate is my absolute favourite!
Hope you have a great Christmas.

I love their velvet version of dark with chopped almonds. No soy lecithin
Guilt free Christmas indulgence.
I’m a fan of Lidl’s hazelnut bar.. it’s something ridiculous like 69p for the big bar..or you can get them in little bars in packs of five for about £1.45 .. but then you need to eat two cause one isn’t enough - and then you end up feeling sick... apparently when eating chocolate you can never recreate that same sensation from those first few bites... that’s why you finish off the whole bar.. chasing the chocolate fix that never comes 🍫
I love very dark chocolate and my favourite now is Vivani 92
Lindt dark chocolate with lime zest but I have only ever bought it in France.
I think Lindt is the best, too. But, I don't like dark chocolate, and not very keen on milk chocolate, either, really. But, Lindt is better than the best. And, I worked in the chocolate industry for several years, so have tasted a lot!
Lindt used to do an filled chocolate bar with almonds and some sort of cream. But, they don't do that anymore. It was out of this world! But, just the ordinary milk chocolate is good.
Failing that, I quite like Milka, which is a French brand. Don't know if you get that in the UK.
Just had a fab chocolate pud/cake with chocolate sauce over vanilla ice cream - and two spoons ! An end of meal freebie - we are in another part of Crete for Christmas. Greeks do great choccy goodies but have no idea of the brand. So glad I don't have a sweet tooth ... I already carry extra pounds ..☆
Thanks for sharing this Marz.
Hope you have a wonderful Christmas 🎄
Mayordomo, from Oaxaca in Mexico. Chocolate is originally from Mexico and it's definitely better over there, sold straight from the factory, you can see them making it. The whole street smells of the most intense chocolate scent, amazing!!!
You're making me drool… I love the smell of chocolate far more than the taste.
In that case maybe I not the only person who spends more time sniffing chocolate than eating it! 😂
Honestly, it is intoxicating over there, the place is beautiful, but being near the Mayordomo place is worth the visit for the smell alone!
You'd have to go a long way to get better than Valrhona - in all their variety of single estate products.
Also.. I met a woman, who was employed by fererro rocher to drive up and down the country and quality test products that had left the production line and assess how they were stored... apparently their chocolate has to be stored at the right temperature or they won’t taste the same and also she said it was the same chocolate that’s in Nutella spread... would you believe it!!
Luxury chocs from Hotel Chocolat ,otherwise Lindt or other dark choc from Lidl.
Lindt creation Creme Brûlée does it for me every time.

I absolutely LOVE Willie’s Cacao single origin and estate dark chocolate.
Comes in 4-5 different varieties with subtle differences in flavour and colour. Dairy and gluten free. There’s no lecithin or vanilla added. It’s just cacao, raw cane and natural cocoa butter. It’s so smooth and creamy. They also have milk and other flavoured varieties but that’s not my cup of tea.
My favourite is the Sambirano Gold from Madagascar. It has a slight fruity flavour. You can buy from Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, Whole Foods and online from their website. Waitrose have reduced the price at the moment.
I second that.
I buy mine from Sainsbury’s.
A very small bar and I mean small costs 90p.
I’ve ordered some of the chocolate from James Cadbury, the great great grandson of the Cadbury founder. Hope it taste better than the taste of Cadbury’s now.
Best Wishes

Gluten-free chocolate? Where???
Lindt 70%.
Russian chocolate ice cream I bought from a street vendor in Moscow in 1975. (Wintertime too). The chocolate was so good I brought home boxes of candy which were also wonderful. It was rationed. They would only sell you 100 grams of ice cream at a time (about 3 1/2 ounces.)
For years my favourite was Cadbury's Fruit and Nut bar. The best. But now they seem to be making it in the US and it isn't nearly as good.
US chocolate is the worst because they use additives and parafin to make it shiny. And often add high fructose corn syrup to augment sweetness because it's cheaper than sugar. Which is probably why American made Cadbury's is yucky.
Is this more than you ever wanted to know about chocolate? LOL irina
Cadbury's Dairy Milk....of yore!
Hi Londinium,
