I'm fairly new here & in the process of trying to get the right amount of Levothyroxine!

I felt really well but am now starting to have painful feet/ankles & my calves, arms & hands ache!

Is this a sign of over medication as my TSH as gone from 90.7 & is now 0.29?

My GP has said I'm on the right amount 75mg!

Please advise

Kind regards

Ask GP to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12

These are often too low when hypothyroid

Low vitamin D causes sore feet

Essential to test both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies and FT3 levels too

Most hypothyroidism is due to autoimmune thyroid disease also called Hashimoto's diagnosed by high thyroid antibodies

Low vitamins are especially common with Hashimoto's

Gluten intolerance common too.

Many people have to get private blood tests done, if GP won't test them all

Suspect you are not in the UK?

Sounds more like a sign that you need an increase in dose. Your doctor cannot possibly know if you are on the right dose if she doesn't test the FT4 and the FT3. The TSH is a very bad indicator of thyroid status. 75 mcg is only a low dose, most people need more than that. :)
