It may not attack anything. Autoimmune diseases sometimes hunt in packs, but I have Hashi's (thyroid now deceased!) and haven't developed any other autoimmune disease. You will have to take thyroid hormone replacement for the rest of your life, of course, but that could very well be all there is to it.
