Hashimotos and HRT advice wanted.

Hi, I would love some advice on Hashimotos & Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). I’ve got Hashimotos and take my 100mcg levothyroxine when I go to bed, it suits me by far to take it at night. I’m post-menopausal but for a number of reasons am just starting HRT. The oestrogen will be through a patch but the progesterone will be by a capsule which I also need to take at night as it apparently might make me feel a bit dizzy. Can anyone advise me about this, whether the progesterone will interfere with the thyroxine, or the absorption of the thyroxine, in any way? Many thanks.

Yes, it will. You shouldn't take anything with your thyroxine, and all supplements/medication should be at least 2 hours away from your thyroxine. Can you change to taking it in the morning? That would be better, a safe distance away from your progesterone. :)
