stress and everyday diarrhoea levothyroxine absorption

hi I'm under a lot of stress .. every morning after my thyroxine I have bottom sickness .. my question is will this affect the absorption of my levo ? I'm on 100mcg a day .. Waiting for results off my blood test .. have muscle pain shoulder pain and the feeling likie a rubber band is pinging on my muscles feeling overall rubbish ..Been on Actavis 100mcg for a while and that brand always suited me ..

If it's straight after you take your levo, it's shouldn't affect your absorption, because the levo will still be in your stomach. But, depends how long after taking it. But, if you're worried, you could try taking your levo at night, two to three hours after your last meal. :)

Thank you Greygoose .. I may try that .. is it also a fact that stress inhibits conversion of T4 to T3 ? I am certainly well stressed .. xxxx

It can do, yes. But you will only know if you get your FT4 and FT3 tested at the same time.

In my experience, when I have had diarrhea it has indeed affected the absorption of any oral medications I took. Has your brand changed in any way? It would seem to me that the filler ingredients in your Levo are to blame. You can try other brands and find one that doesn’t upset your digestion.
