Yes, take your dose of Levo after the blood draw.

Just a reminder of your previous post

If you're looking to avoid a reduction in dose then you really need a blood draw by 9am at the very latest as TSH is highest early morning and lowers throughout the day, so you need the highest possible TSH to avoid a reduction in dose.

Thanks SeasideSusie, just wanted to be sure ,I also have my first endo app next Friday. Have been feeling rubbish for over two months now . Was on 125mg of Thyroxine , 100 ,now down to 75mg.Head still spinning .Never experienced anything like this before, feel like your on another planet. Never had any problems in 26 years being under active . Untill I had thyroiditis this year.

For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4, FT3 plus TPO and TG thyroid antibodies and also very important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12

As you have Crohn's low vitamin levels are even more likely

Have these been tested? Ask GP to test urgently if not been done or test privately

Private tests are available. Thousands on here forced to do this as NHS often refuses to test FT3 or antibodies or vitamins

Medichecks Thyroid plus ultra vitamin or Blue Horizon Thyroid plus eleven are the most popular choice. DIY finger prick test or option to pay extra for private blood draw. Both companies often have special offers, Medichecks usually have offers on Thursdays, Blue Horizon its more random

All thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and fasting. Do not take Levothyroxine dose in the 24 hours prior to test, delay and take immediately after blood draw. This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, best not mentioned to GP or phlebotomist)

More people have LOW stomach acid not high acid
