Just to say, I have been doing this Keto trial since Saturday and I am delighted to say, I have lost 6lb, no doubt in fluid and retention, but alas, it is a loss!
I have not only tried some lovely recipes from the Diet Dr site, but I am not craving, I do not feel sluggish and feel quite nice actually for a change.
Just signed up for the two week challenge and time will tell.
So if you are undecided, just take a look and see what you think!
Anyway, take care and hope you are all keeping well.

I started late September and down 16 ib I also not missed the grains to much or sugars and so surprisingly how the food is so lush. I feel lighter in my head if that makes sense mush more alert and feel alive.the weight loss as slowed down so a lot was water now only losing 1 lb or 2 a week but I can live with that . Good luck with your journey
That is amazing my lovely well done! I think after reading the stories so far, 1-3lb loss a week seems to be the norm and I am quite happy with that. Like you, I am alert and not feeling so tired. Also when I went out to the Dr's today, was not as breathless as I normally am.
Just taking one day at a time. For once, I feel happy and positive. It helps that both my youngest daughter and hubby is doing it with me. I think having someone doing it with you makes a massive difference, you don't give into temptation then, well not as much anyway and I have not been tempted once so far.
Hope all goes well in the coming weeks. But if you haven't already, have a look at some of the recipes on the Diet Dr, they are really yummy. Even a Keto lasagne!
Hi Jolly Dolly ! My name is Holly and I am doing Keto as well. It is helping me tremendously and have lost 35 pounds. My inflammation is down and I feel great! My energy levels are awesome! The first time in years. I have no cravings. Any kind of sugar puts me on a roller coaster of hunger and cravings so I stay away from added sugar. Good luck on your journey!
I know someone who is going to do Keto for her son he has seizers . They are doing it with the blessings of the Neurologist . The Neurologist said she has very good results that patients end up not needing seizer meds . It's done in the hospital under control .
Absolutely amazing transformation for the people doing the trial there which included a family. A little girl who not only had non verbal autism but clinical epilepsy. They all did the keto, low carb plan for ten weeks including the little girl. By the end of the trial, she was not only making eye contact, but spoke her first words and also stopped one of her medications for her Epilepsy. I don't think she had had a seizure for a while (would need to clarify that). All the other conditions were for diabetes, thyroid, non verbal autism (there was an older boy with it too) and one other condition, I can't recall.
Well done! - that is fab about the weight loss. 2.5 stone in total so far.
Yes I feel good too and it is helping me. Even my oedema seems to be getting better. I am hoping it will help with my husbands arthritis, as he is struggling so much.
Keep in touch and lets hope the cravings don't come back. At least I am not raiding the fridge every night, so far so good ha ha!
Thank you Jolly Dolly! It is a little slower than it could be because I struggle with having a few glasses of wine on the weekend. The next day I feel aweful and it messes up my keto. I'm not sure if it is because of my hashimoto's but I have come to the realization I need to stay away from drinking all together. It is just not worth the way it makes me feel. I am also going down clothing sizes which makes me feel good. I am getting back into my smaller clothes so I know I am losing inches and that matters most to me. I know the weight will come.
I know what it is like Punky12, as I used to be partial to a glass of wine, but after getting the flu about 10 years ago, I lost the taste for it but also, I have low tolerance. My daughters think I am hilarious as my glass is their bottle evidently lol. I think with drink, you want to start nibbling.
I did fancy some dark chocolate tonight, but as I have my daughters wedding in seven weeks, I want to get at least a stone off. So I am pleased I have not been naughty and given into the urge/craving.
I am going to bed shortly, but always around for a chat Catch up on how you are doing with the Keto.
Hi! I’m doing Keto too since August, so far down 28lbs, no cravings, not missing grains too😁 feeling great, usually in good mood and finally have energy! Haven’t tried extended fasting yet (apart from usual 16h) but I think I’m in the good direction😃
We are eating our food within a eight hour window as well, recommended by our youngest daughter. I do not feel hungry surprise surprise, but my tummy gurgles sometimes ha ha- hopefully melting the fatty bits lol!
Keep in touch and we can also be Keto buddies if you like?!
My son would you believe was 33 stone! and on the Keto diet got down to below 9 stone. It is a very good diet recommend for anyone wanting to loose weight.
Absolutely massive WOW JanW! I am really impressed with your son, tell him well done from me.
How long did it take him and has he got any scars from the difference in weight loss? The reason I ask is because I am a very chubby chick thanks to various reasons, but since losing weight and now I am on the Keto, I have noticed my forearms changing shape in a nice way. But unfortunately I have a "maxi" apron
It is great to hear success stories and thank you for sharing. Keep in touch x
Hi Jollydolly, yes very proud of him, and you made a good point. He had an awful lot of belly and breast excess flab which hung loose after loosing so much weight. It started to get him down but the NHS wouldn't help - crackers as they will do breast enlargements/bust inhancements very annoying. Hubby and I paid for him to go private and were glad we did he looks great. Something I guess to be aware of if you loose a lot of weight. Good luck and keep it up you seem to be doing very well.
Great that he has been able to get it done thanks to you and his dad. But as you say Crackers that the NHS won't help him but will help to improve some ones bust either way. I am not surprised though as a friend of mine had the gastric band and she had to sign a waiver that she would not ask for plastic surgery after her weight loss!
Thank you for the "Good luck"and keep in touch. So far lost over 7lb lost since Saturday.
