First Blood test after starting Tiromel

Hello,

I started Tiromel at 6,25mcg 2 months ago and increased slowly to 25mcg now once daily in the morning.

Will do my first blood test in a week or so and wanted to ask if I just do the blood test in the AM before taking my T3 or if I should split my dose the day before the blood test like some members recommended here before and take the last dose 12 hours prior to the blood test ?

I would tend to take the dose as usual once daily the day before the test since thats how I always do it and only this way I'll see where my levels normally are 24h post ingestion ?

Thanks

I take my T3 all in one go early morning. However, when I do blood tests, I do split the dose and take my last dose 8-12 hours before the blood draw and I do this every time so I can compare tests accurately. There is no T3 left in the blood after 12 hours.

But it's still active in the cells, if I split the dose the day before I won't see were my FT3 levels would normally be with dosing once daily ?

Yes, it's still active in the cells but it wont show in the blood test because there's none left in the blood after 12 hours.

All this was covered in a previous thread of yours so I'm not quite sure why you're asking the same question

So should I split the 25 into 2x12.5 or 12.5 and 6.25 ?

Also, if the test shows still too low FT3 how should I go about increasing my T3 from 25 once daily ? Should I just increase my one dose or add a second small one in the PM ?

If you're taking 25mcg daily you split it into 2 x 12.5, why would you think to only take 18.75 instead of your normal amount?

You add an extra 6.25 and you decide when to take it. You might want to split it, some people do, you might prefer to take it all together in one dose. Experiment and see what suits you.

Sorry I wanted to say 18.75+6.25 on the day before or 12.5+12.5
