My right side is enlarged. But two years before I got diagnosed, I did a mud run 5k. Soon after, my right ear started itching inside. I assumed I had left over mud in it. I went to the doctor, nothing. It comes and goes. But it has stayed pretty consistent with itching and ear pain for the last two weeks, along with a muscle/tendon in my neck that is sore to touch and migraines.
My function Med doctor said it’s not my thyroid, that my muscle is having spasms there. But it just seems to be too much of a coincidence because it is on the right side also.

I don't know if I can help with your post, but, just to say that I have blocked ears that have been going on for weeks now (6 weeks).
I have no pain in my ears, it feels like the inner ears are blocked and wet inside, I also have ringing in my ears day and night.
As well as blocked ears, I started with awful neck pain and stiffness and really bad tension headaches, the headache pain was so sharp, it made me stop what I was doing. They got so bad I ended up in A&E twice. First time they sent me home with antibiotics as said an ear infection, this did not help at all. Second time the ENT specialist said there was nothing wrong with my ears and I had an MRI scan and all clear. They sent me home with muscle relax tablets, they only help with the pain, but my ears are still completely blocked and I still have the pain.
I had acupuncture, this helped a bit, but pain back again, and as I said still blocked ears.
I am now paying private to see an ENT and I am having a MRI on my neck as I just can't accept what I am being told.
I also have hashimoto's and an under active thyroid.
