My endocrinologist has suggested I have an endoscopy to check absorption issues with levothyroxene. Is this normal - what is he hoping to find?

What are your most recent blood results for TSH, T4 and T3 also TPO and TgAb antibodies? Have you had any blood tests to check Vit B12, Vit D, iron, ferritin, folate levels? Do you take your medication on an empty stomach with water and avoid food and other drinks for at least an hour after taking your meds? What brand of levothyroxine are you taking?
I’m waiting on next set of results from his secretary - will ring up Monday if I’ve not got them and post. I do take my Levothyroxene as prescribed - empty stomach with water and hour plus before food.
See above comment re last results - My last set of T4 results shows it high in range, my T3, around 40 per cent through the range - so low in comparison to amount of T4 in my body ...
So there isn't an absorption problem, it seems, but a conversion problem which an endoscopy won't show. Do you have results for B12, folate, ferritin and Vitamin D?
As Crimple has asked, what are your latest results? You didn’t seem to have absorption problems going by the results you posted 5m ago...
