Thyroid UK are in constant communication with HealthUnlocked to try and deal with those people who post or send messages which, for reasons known only to them, are unpleasant, pointless and/or dishonest.
With this in mind, HealthUnlocked have sent the following information.
We are planning a workshop later today to discuss how we can make it more difficult for spammers to contact users via private message. In the meantime, please report anything like this to us (and encourage members in your community to do so!) so we can catch them as quickly as possible.
We do have systems in place that catch the vast majority of spammers, but some spammers are very clever and it is difficult for us to catch them without also “catching” false positives, and unfairly banning/restricting genuine users. No system will ever be perfect, but we are always trying to improve ours!
In order to keep the community safe and to clean out the unwanted visitors as quickly as possible, we need your help!
Report anything you see which you find suspicious or unpleasant. This includes private messages.
