6 week test tomorrow

I have my first blood test at the doctors tomorrow at 08:45 which was the earliest they could do.

I have been on 25mg of Levo for 6 weeks.

I take my Levo at 10:30 every morning so I will take today’s and then not have breakfast or coffee before the test? Or should I just go along with my normal routine?

I think most people on here will say don’t take any before the test. Take it after - so hold fire on breakfast too as there needs to be a gap between Levo and food/drink. Also, on non-blood test days take it with water on an empty stomach and then wait an hour before coffee or food. I think that is the usual advice to make sure it absorbs properly. I find taking it on waking is best then I can potter around getting ready and have a no milk decaf coffee just before I set off for work. I’m sure others will also give you advice. Best not to eat beforehand. Definitely don't take your Levothyroxine before blood test

Up to you if you take your Levothyroxine immediately after, or have something to eat straight after

As you normally take Levothyroxine mid morning, suggest you eat straight after blood test and take Levo about 2 hours after that
