Over medicated on Levothroxine -- How long before it is out of my system

So this past Wednesday my left hand started to tremble, brushed it off. Thursday shortly after taking 100 mcg of levothroxine both hands started trembling, heart started to race and my anxiety level was out of control. Out to see my doctor on Friday after taking the levo and was told that I could skip one day (Saturday) the symptons are still in full force. Today Sunday I have not taken the levo and I am still anxious, trembling and starting to get irritable. So I guess what I want to now is How long does this med stay in ones system

Levo has a half life of 7 days, so what's in your system today, there will be 50% less next Sunday. The following Sunday there will be 25% of what's there today, the next Sunday, 12.5%, then 6. 25% etc. So a few weeks to be completely out of your system.

Did you have a change of brand of Levo just before the trembling started? Or a dose change?

It was a dosage change from 88 mcg to 100 mcg. My fear is the Doc wants me to start taking the 100 mcg again but skip it on the weekends

How were you on 88mcg daily? If you need a reduction then rather than 100mcg x 5 days a week, go for 75mcg x 7 days a week.

Your guess is as good as mine. But in a month they will do my blood work, and according to the Dr. she will then determine if I should go back to 88 mcg. In the inter room I will be contacting an endocrinologist to help me get back on track

Some people take one week's dose of levo.
