CAUTION! when using partner clinics for blood tests

Just a word of caution for anyone doing their own (Medichecks etc) blood tests via a Partner Clinic - in my case my local NHS Hospital Phlebotomy dept. The blood was taken efficiently (good!) and she offered to send it off for me, but I wanted to check it thoroughly so I took everything away. Fortunately, before leaving the hospital I checked and found that (a) she had taken the lab request form and left me with the invoice and (b) she had not dated and timed the samples. I was able to go back and retrieve the lab request form and put the date/time on the samples myself. Had I not checked, the sample would not have been processed and I would definitely have had to repeat the process AT MY OWN COST! Plus they would not have been able to claim their fee.

Thanks for posting this information and it is very important for members to check the facts before blood test is sent off. It would be a waste of time/money otherwise.

my local Spire always seem quite efficient.
