Hello

Quick question, please...I had bloods taken on 1st August and posted same day. Am I being too eager to have expected a response by now?

Cheers!

Hi VanessaB and thanks for your reply. Nothing in junk, and I’ve checked my MC account too. I’ll drop them a line. Cheers!

Did you ask for a doctors review/comment? If so this takes longer, but if you don’t get them today I would chase them.

Hi Missimal and thanks for your reply. I’m not aware of having asked for a review although it did ask for info so results could be assessed; I just presumed that was part of the deal. I’ll give them today then and chase up if not. Cheers!

There is an express service without the doctors review which usually comes back the same day they receive the sample. The normal one usually takes one more day once the doctor has provided their comments but it not guaranteed. They might have just been busy on Friday.

Thanks again for your reply, Missimal. I guess I missed the fast route. I’m just glad I got the bloods done and posted...I have proof of postage, lol!

What test was it?

Straightforward thyroid panel is usually back within 48 hours or 1-2 working days.

If reverseT3 was included, this takes a lot longer.

Hi Seaside Susie

It was the Thyroid UltraVit, £79 (on offer).

It shouldn't take longer than a couple of days then.

Did you log in to record that your sample had been posted?

Did you get a tracking number on your receipt? Have you checked Royal Mail's Track & Trace to see that your sample had been received?

Thanks, SeasideSusie

I wasn’t aware I needed to record posting the sample; I’m not sure how on the app.

I got a receipt of postage but didn’t do track and trace as the envelope was prepaid first class. Afraid I put my trust in Royal Mail for once and left the package as is. (Hopefully not wrongly...fingers crossed just taking a bit of time at MC’s end.)

Update! I’ve just gone on MC app and results appear to be there! Yay! I’m on my way out for a few hours but I’ll post results when I get back. Thanks again!

The power of thought, lol!

I don't use an App but you just log in to your account and go to Samples (I think) and put the date/time in. It's all on the little information leaflet sent with your kit and tells you what to do.

I always pay extra for Special Delivery Guaranteed Next Day by 1pm. Worth it as far as I'm concerned as Royal Mail don't guarantee that first class post gets there the next day. With Special Delivery it should get there the next day and you have tracking information, then if they are late delivering you get your money back for the amount of postage paid.

Hi SeasideSusie, thanks for message, and I will do signed for/track and trace on future submissions, however the results are in now. I did write an update but not sure where it went to as you’ve written this post.

Anyway, I just said I have to go out right now but will post results later. Thanks again for your help on this. Cheers!
