Deficiencies possibly corrected heavy bleeding?

I’m sure there are multiple articles on this I just havent gotten there yet (brain a little slow at times).

So I did a little experiment on myself and thought that someone on here might find it interesting 🤔, however timing should have been better planned so I could get labs done and get more proof.

Went off all supplements for I want to say close to a week or so and b12 symptoms returned as well as being tired and even had issues with pain on my right side again (not sure if kidney stone or appendix as I didnt go to a doctor).

But what I found more interesting was my period had been lighter after the forst day, the last few times and I had been sleeping through the night ( waking up maybe once and falling back to sleep). After three days of being off meds my legs were getting restless again, it took alot longer to fall asleep and then have been waking up somewhere around 12-3/4 due to nightmares or just randomly waking up and not getting back to sleep. Also during this time my period came sooner and heavier while I was sleeping (sorry tmi).

I have since started back on the supplements (its been two days now) because my symptoms were getting worse and already period is clearing up more quickly and paranoia is clearing up and havent noticed pain in side as much (this might be due to eating more fiber but not sure). All this to say for me personally that I think some or all of the deficiencies play a part in my heavy period issues/Iron, sleep, mental health.

I would normally not do this kind of experiment as I think cold turkey quitiing can be rough on the body but I have been having some serious stomach issues as some of you know. And quitting the supplements had helped somewhat so I dont know if it caused the stomach problems or if they were there and didnt notice them until taking all these supplements or something else. But it is clear the supplements (have been taking low doses ) have been helping because there is clear improvement.

I do not eat gluten dairy or sugar and have been aip for over 7 months (with occasional slip up) I believe and although this has helped it has not fixed these issues with anemia and sleep (was diagnosed as a slow oxidiser and leaky gut) in which I think the supplements (I have tested for deficiencies) have helped. However they are not dairy free and have some things that I am mildly allergic to (func doc doesnt seem concerned) so with the being said, I have a appt (finally!) with a gastro doc and hopefully with be having a endoscopy in the near future.

Any thoughts pr suggestions on how to figure out what is specifically causing stomach issues? I hope this post will be interesting and encourage someone in some way, to look into vitamin deficiencies.

Sorry you had no replies. This may be because your post was missed or simply because no one had any relevant information.

If you still need help you may want to try posting again.
