Since raising to 125 mcg a day from 125 one day and 112.5 mcg the next I have been so short of breath and loose bowels.I raised it because of feeling short of breath, but now wonder if I should of decreased instead. My TSH last week was 0.14 range O.4-4.00,no t3 done.

Aw, Susie, sorry you're struggling. But as you know, it’s impossible to tell what’s going on with FT4 and FT3 results. It could even have nothing to do with your thyroid dose - it could be iron deficiency anaemia or B12 deficiency.
I’m afraid a more complete blood test is about the only thing that will yield more answers.
I was very short of breath when I was given T4 and was not converting to T3. So much so that I could not go up the stairs without gasping for breath. I also put on weight and had a constant headache. I had become thyrotoxic with T4 but had hardly any T3; in other words I was severyly hypo. at cellular level. Once I reduced my T4 and added T3 I got better. I now take T3 only. You need a T3 test as well.
Have you changed the brand of tablets you take as a result of the change in dose? That could cause problems if you have.
Hi ,thanks for replys.I was on t3 only for nearly 3 years ,not a great change. So back to thyroxine. No change in make ,as I keep to same one.
