Hi all, I went to see my endo last week, wasn't impressed and left feeling disappointed and unheard as usual. Had my bloods done while I was there and just received an email telling me to remain on my current dose of T3, 20mcg twice a day. I've been on this dose four weeks when I had my bloods taken. Before that I was on 10mcg db but had an increase after my TSH spiked to 69.19. Then I looked at my results which were sent without ranges.
Recent TFT (19/07/18):Free T4 < 3.2, free T3 4.8, TSH 12.34.
If memory serves free T3 range should be between 3.5 and 6.5, blood taken at the same hospital. I can't see his reluctance to increase and actually feel he's being negligent.
I do remember him saying that T3 won't suppress my TSH, it was one of his many arguments of my retrying T4 and at that point I decided I was wasting my time.
I'm very concerned now as I now my GP will go by what the endo has instructed. I leave for a week's holiday tomorrow so need to get it sorted soon. I've been trying to find NICE guidelines for T3 only treatment or anything to argue with this endocrinologist because I think he'll dismiss my concerns.
Any advice gratefully received x
