Help please DHEA

I am hypo, having been seeing a doctor who has put me on DHEA 25 mg a day and biodentical progesterone cream 1ml a day. Started to feel much better but then I realised I was having too much DHEA (headaches, acne, aggressive). Doctor told me to reduce DHEA to 25mg twice a week which I have done. I have very quickly become very weak again. Could this be a side effect from withdrawing from DHEA. I was doing so well it has really knocked me.

Advice appreciated

So, you went from 175mg DHEA a week to 50mg a week. That's rather a big drop!

Does it come in capsules or tablets? Could you cut tablets down to take three quarters of a tablet per day and take it every day again? And if that still causes side effects reduce to half a tablet per day? I don't know if that would be possible.

I should point out that I know nothing about taking DHEA, but I'm very familiar with doctors cutting doses ridiculously quickly for all sorts of things which affect thyroid patients.

Yes that's correct, it is in capsule form so I guess I could do that. Appreciate your response.

I am hoping that someone with DHEA knowledge could respond.

Many thanks for your help.

I'm on 12.5mg a day. A small amount makes a difference. I noticed tiredness etc on 10mg but fine on 12.5mg. you probably reduced by too much. How much progesterone in mg - that's the one that makes you feel happy and chilled out?
