This may not be related to thyroid but due to the advise given from my last post (fainting or feeling faint) my bloods were taken for analysis. One of the results is LDH which Which I haven't a clue about. The range is 120 - 250 my result was 587. Is this anything to worry about?

Seeing as it is very over range, I would be asking my doctor what it tested and what the raised level means.
LDH blood testing is done to establish any tissue damage in the body. With an abnormal result the next step would be to individually check where any damage is and address it if required. Could also be just a blip and need redoing at later date but gp should advise.
Just had a quick look and found this article:
medicalhealthtests.com/askq...
It says high LDH can be from doing strenuous exercise, so if you work out or have a busy job, enjoy gardening, have to run around after your children, etc make sure you rest before another blood test. As has been said, you do need further tests asap to find out why.
Don't know if it has anything to do with thyroid, but glad you popped in!
Hope this gets sorted soon x
Thank you so much for the article. I am not very active so that can be ruled out. They said I don't have a liver problem or anaemia, so it could be a false reading I suppose. A mystery!
Not sure but going on symptoms as well it may be worth having your heart rhythm and bp checked. Syncope can occur due to blood pressure or heart issues.
They should test bp and heart rhythm sitting down and then standing up to see how you are affected by posture. A urinary tract infection can also cause these problems as fluid build up makes it harder for the heart to cope so causes fainting. Best check it out with GP.
