GP failed to put hospital of choice (one with a dedicated thyroid team) on “choose and book form”

Hubby went in to battle for me - error on their part AND was told the local hospital was very good for...... wait for it....... diabetes!!!!!

Hubby retorts “ that’s my point, she doesn’t have diabetes it’s her thyroid”

A BIG THANK YOU to all of you that have helped me so far.

My Endo who is a Diabetic specialist tests all patients for the condition every time they visit almost like if he can't treat you for thyroid disease he can have a good try with his specialism! By the law of averages he's bound to diagnose me soon. It's not what you have but rather what he's able to confidently, even competently able to treat folk for. Quite enterprising really if it wasn't so annoying.

Sounds like many moons ago friends would tell of a GP for uni students that they would attend for a cough and come out with a prescription for the pill whether they had a need for it or not!

Hope your Endo’s is helpful with your thyroid while he is working out how to diagnose you with diabetes.

Can’t decide to laugh or cry....
