Hi everyone I am new, I was diagnosed hypothyroid in 2011 but was on Carbimazole before that. I have been feeling unwell on my current dose of 100mcg levothyroxine for a few weeks now, it was increased in March this year and it was reduced in November last year because of a below range TSH.
My symptoms are all listed
Stools difficult to pass
Tiredness
Pins and needles
Flaky skin on back and on legs
Dry skin
Weight gain
Loss of appetite
Sugar cravings
Inner feeling of itchiness on skin, like pinpricks
Refuse to allow your doctor to reduce your dose on the basis of a low TSH only. You need at least the FT4 done, but ideally the FT3. The TSH on its own is meaningless. And this is the usual result. Not much you can do now, except insist they put you back on your original dose and do the proper testing.
