New results, please advise.

Hi,

Following on from my post last week, I have had the tests recommended with Medichecks. The results are as in the photo.

My main symptom, the one concerning me the most, is weakness in my left arm and shoulder, occasionally spreading to the backs of my legs. I currently take 62.5mcg levthroxine, reduced from 75. The reduction has eased my symptoms somewhat, but not I still have the weakness.

My question is do I need a further reduction? To 50mcg? I know this is a small amount, but I’m very petite-5ft, 46kg.

Your advice welcome.

Thank you.

I forgot to add that I am already gluten free, supplementing as advised on here; my ferritin is low but rising. I’m following advice from Seaside Susie about eating liver, which I am doing. I’m unsure what else to do now about feeling better. Please help.

It’s very quiet on here today, must be the sunshine!

I’d appreciate it if somebody would look at my results to see if they are in optimal range, as I can see that they are in range but I’m not sure what ideal numbers are.

Thanks.

Hi, from my own personal experience and knowledge it looks like u need an increase rather than a decrease, your ft4 and ft3 needs to be higher ft4 near top of range and ft3 around ... tsh is useless unless its high... also have u had your b12 and folate tested, i know u said u are eatif living for your ferritin which is your iron stores but it can take months if not a year to get ferritin where it needs to be, ferritin rises slowly, i also eat half a pound of liver once a week and it has raised my ferritin b12 and folate but very slowly over the past year or so.. your symptoms of a weak arm may or may not be due to your thyroid, but the next step would be to increase your levo but very slowly as u are probably sensitive as i am...

Hi, I was on 75mcg of levothyroxine previously, my TSH was suppressed below range. I’m not bothered about that but the weakness in my arm was really bad but it has got better since I decreased, which is why I was thinking I should decrease again.

Yes my vitamin levels were checked a fortnight ago, I did post them on here. My ferritin is low but I’m taking steps to address that.

It’s slow and stressful road!

It is a very slow and stressful road i know oh to well and i feel for u..... if it has got better from decreasing then im presuming the levo is not agreeing with you, have u tried other brands of levo, which brand are u currently on?

I’m using actavis although I’ve had Mercury pharma in the past. I haven’t noticed a change in my symptoms or the intensity with the change of brand tbh.
