As above, just wondering if it's linked as several dentists have assured me it's not gum disease and it began when the thyroid packed up as did the tinnitus.

Any long term hypo sufferers with gum shrinkage?
I am long term hypo (43 years since diagnosis) and have gum recession and sensitive teeth for many years, quite a lot of exposed dentin now. Like you, it's not gum disease.
43 years? Sorry to hear that, although I can pinpoint times in my teenage years when I got very fat and very tired for no reason. My theory re; gum recession is that hypothyroidism affects blood supply, hence I have also developed Raynaud's and symptoms of peripheral arterial disease, but after tests, it's not PAD and GPs cannot explain it. Nothing new there then.

My daughter has suspected Raynauds, is awaiting a blood test with her GP. I looked it up and saw there was a link with hypothyroidism. As I have, and my late mother had, hypothyroidism, I have mentioned that she asks for thyroid function tests but suggests she gets the full thyroid/vitamin panel with Medichecks.
I've just recently been diagnosed hashi but don't know how long I've had it for previous to diagnosis. I started feeling really unwell the last year and a half. I've had bleeding gums and recession for about 5 years. Dentist didn't know what it was.
You probably have low growth hormone - that's one of the symptoms. You need decent levels of T3 to produce GH, so if your T3 has been low for some time, then your GH will be low. Do you have copies of your blood test results? Have you had your FT3 tested?
