It could be that you are undermedicated, or have low nutrient levels, and sorting this out before going down the route of self medicating along with it's cost and regular private blood tests is a sensible first step.
Hi I am 12 years diagnosed Hypothyroid. My medication has always been Levothyroxine and has fluctuated between 150 to 100micrograms, At present 100 mcg, recently lowered from 125. Despite my complaints of pain fatigue and suffering. I was offered anti depressants. I have suffered much through out this time and been made to feel like a manic depressive hysterical woman. Both my doctor and endocrinologist will not entertain desiccated thyroid. Nor will they do various tests, ie 24hr salivaI, full iron panel, T3 and iodine. I have spent a long time researching. I have been able to do a couple of the home tests which suggest I also have adrenal fatigue. I am exhausted I constantly feel like I have been run over by a monster truck even after sleep. Although getting enough sleep is nigh impossible. Every part of my body hurts at some point in the day. My appetite is up and down. I have suicidal thoughts, yet people say aside from black eyes sometimes I look great. I am beginning to gain weight despite not eating sometimes. I could go on and on listing my problems. But it is the fatigue that is really killing me and has caused me to look for alternatives. I spend hours laying down.
I have tried to get copies of my latest bloods but because they were done by the hospital my doctor said I have to get in touch with the consultant. Lol. I am awaiting a call from his secretary, only been four days .Lol !!
Please has anyone got suggestions?

Without seeing the results of your tests it's not possible to know what to suggest. You need to know where the problem lies then address it.
Were you told why your dose was reduced recently?
When and what home tests have you done and what were the results?
As for the consultant's secretary, the squeaky wheel gets the oil so I would be contacting her every day.
