I’ve just read k2mk7 shouldn’t be taken ( to aid vit D3)

Due to the way it’s manufactured ....... I’m so confused !

Just as I thought I’d got my supplements right 🤔

You will have to do your own research.

RFU warns people against using aluminium pans, etc, because she has had a severe reaction to it. Other people will use aluminium all their lives and not react. It's like everything, we're all different and one size doesn't fit all.

I expect you will already know if you react to aluminium or not. Do you have any aluminium pans at home, non-stick pans are usually coated aluminium, or do you use all stainless steel or glass? Do you use aluminium foil? Do you eat out at restaurants? All catering pans are aluminium - saucepans, roasting pans, etc. (I used to own a restaurant so know exactly what is available to the catering trade, everything marked "professional" or "catering" comes with an inflated price tag and they choose aluminium because it's the cheapest).

Fermented soy is supposed to be the only type of soy us Hypos need not avoid. Natto is fermented soy. The soy beans used to make Natto could possibly be prepared using aluminium pans.

Then there is should you use MK7 or MK4 form of Vit K2. Again do some research to satisfy yourself. MK7 is Natto as explained. MK4 in supplement form is synthetic. MK4 doesn't stay in the body as long as MK7. Certain foods contain MK4, you would need to look into this and see how much you would need to include in your diet to give the correct amount as a cofactor for D3.

K2 doesn't aid Vit D. D3 aids absorption of calcium from food, K2 directs the calcium to bones and teeth where it is needed and away from arteries and soft tissues where it can be deposited and cause problems such as calcification of the arteries and kidney stones, etc.

It's magnesium that helps the body use D3.

Thanks Seaside Susie for such an informative reply,

as you say I’ll look into things from my perspective,

I’m still learning and boy is there much to learn !

With everyone’s help - I will “get there” 😄
