I asked my endo if he would help me to appeal to the GMMMG and he can't/won't so I need to work out how to get it myself. Can anyone help please?

My endo can't challenge the GMMMG over a liothyronine trial.
Suggest you email Thyroid UK for list of recommended thyroid specialists. Some are T3 friendly. Though many are only private not NHS
Presumably your endo was NHS? Where they a Diabetes? Why would they not agree to dose increase in Levo?
Before you start on T3 vitamin D, folate ferritin and B12 must all be optimal
Have all these been tested. Can you add results and ranges so members can advise
Have you tried simply increasing Levo by 25mcg? Would GP agree to that?
I know you say you don't have Hashimoto's. Have you had thyroid ultrasound? Not everyone with Hashimoto's has high thyroid antibodies. Ultrasound can show thyroid had granular texture - this is Hashimoto's
He increased my levo and is reluctant to do that again as my last results were
TSH 0.34 (0.35 - 5)
FT4 16 (9 -19)
FT3 3.7 (2.6 -5.7)
He'd trial liothyronine if he was allowed to. I can get another blood test but I am eating the best I have eaten in 12 months and am taking Vit D and a probiotic to help my gut.
How would I go about getting a scan on my thyroid?
