You could be limiting your carbs too far and affecting your conversion. You need carbs to convert. Or you could just be under-medicated.
'Stabilised' is not a word that really means much when it comes to hypo. You could be 'stabilised' with a TSH of 20 or with a TSH of 0.2, but the effect would be totally different. Do you have copies of your labs? If so, post them here, with the ranges, and let's have a look.
I think I have been a bit mean with carbs, will incorporate a bit more.
My test results where posted in February if you'd like to have a look at them, I plan to have another medicheck test February 2019 just to compare.
I do feel better, I never would of guessed eating right is so beneficial . π»
So, you can see from those results that you do have a problem converting. Whether it's entirely due to low carbs, or if there's are other elements, I don't know. But, certainly, increasing your carbs should help.
But, as SeasideSusie said, you really could do with reducing your levo, and adding in a little T3. It's your really quite low T3 that is causing your puffiness.
And, as I said before, no point stabilising on a low FT3, just the fact of being stable won't help anything. You need to stabilise on an optimal FT3.
For what its worth, my puffiness did not go until I added T3. This was one of the most noticeable effects for me.
Have you implemented the changesSeasideSusie suggested 4 months ago. They should all help conversion so it's pity you haven't more resent results to see where you are now and then if necessary, though may be still a little early you could consider adding in a little T3.
Thank you all for your replies.
Yes I did follow Seaside Susie's advice re: vitamin d, which made quite a difference π»
I'm not sure what to do next, I haven't been to GP since I was put on Levo 100, I'm a bit apprehensive because GP advised me not to google advice re: thyroidism which I have done.
I think I shall pluck up some courage and see GP then spill the beans.
Thyroid Uk run this site so you might like to look at their site and print out any advice you think relevant to show your GP. The HealthUnlocked Thyroid forum is recommended by NHS Choices for information about thyroid issues so you can always point that out to you GP if he gets funny about it!
