Scientific papers linking low T3 to hair loss?

Hi, does anyone have any references for scientific papers linking hair loss to thyroid issues? Or maybe related matters? (i.e. linking hair loss to low vitamins which are in turn affected by low thyroid hormone levels)

I've just found your post and notice no-one replied. I'm interested because yesterday I saw an endocrinologist who said I don't need T3 (my blood tests are always in the lowest quartile). One of the reasons I asked to be referred was that for the past year I've had a patch of hair on my crown which is dead - appears to be growing but is brittle and very short as it breaks off. The endocrinologist said "hair loss is never due to thyroid" but I've read so many things which say it is. Sorry, this is no help to you and your original question.
