I have had both of these tests performed recently and I'm really confused by the results. Both stated as 'Normal' but I can't seem to find anything similar on the web for mine.
here are my results.
Synacthen
Normal Basal cortisol = 368
30 minutes 8089
60 minutes 893
IGF-1 = 19.8
any advice greatly received

There's nothing on your profile, are you diagnosed with a thyroid problem. Already on Levothyroxine?
First thing is, do you have any thyroid blood test results? if not will need to get hold of copies. You are legally entitled to printed copies of your blood test results and ranges.
UK GP practices are supposed to offer online access for blood test results. Ring and ask if this is available and apply to do so if possible, if it is you may need enhanced access to see blood results.
In reality many GP surgeries do not have blood test results online yet
Alternatively ring receptionist and request printed copies of results. Allow couple of days and then go and pick up. (They can no longer charge for printing out, rules changed after May 25th 2018)
Can you add most recent results and ranges for TSH, FT3 and FT4, plus have you also had thyroid antibodies tested
Also helpful if had vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 tested. Add results and ranges if you have them
If those results are correct and the 30 mins is not a typo, it is not normal at all. Such a huge rise at 30 mins followed by a fall usually indicates a problem. For the IGF-1 test, you need the range. Usually too low is hypopituitary and too high is pituitary tumour.
