For many years, we have seen New Zealand products, such as non-prescription thyroid glandulars, understandably claiming the health and lack of disease in the country's herds.

Looks like there is now a serious issue. No idea of the effect on humans consuming the products but, quite possibly, there will be supply issues.

This is just great. I am sure there are many of us who thought that if or when we are unable to source NDT, we could fall back on the whole glandulars like ThyroGold and Nutrimeds until supply issues were resolved. And there are many folks who use these whole glandular, over-the-counter products successfully in the place of prescription NDTs. It seems all the products, Thai, Armour (expensive), RLC Labs products, all except NP are having their problems/shortages/supply. The whole glandulars even used to offer bovine or pork based products but, due to the piglet virus a few years back, only offered bovine.
