Hello, I have been Hupo for years only taking levothyroxine, last year the doctor added Cytomel for T3, and i felt a ton better. That doctor moved away so now have new doctor she wanted to up my Shnthroid/Levi from 100 to 125 and i did bit was having heart palpitations. So she told me to stop the cytomel and just take synthroid 125. I have been for a week and a half and i am either wired and anxious or super fatigued and weak. I am thinking of taking the Synthroid 125 one day and the next take 100 Synthroid and my 5 Cytomel, and repeating that cycle. I feel like the Cytomel (t3) meds are needed for me. Any suggestions?

Why not just go back to 100 mcg of T4 and 5 mcg of Cytomel every day if that is where you felt best?
T3 has a short half-life compared to T4, so it's better to take it every day instead of every other day.
You cannot alternate T3 the way you can levo. Levo is the storage hormone, so it doesn't matter if the dose isn't the same every day. But T3 is the active hormone. And if you want it to make you better, you need to take a steady, regular dose daily. Otherwise, it won't have the desired effect.
I agree with Anna, drop back to the dose on which you felt good. Your doc is just trying to get you off Cytomel, theoretically increasing your Levo should cause you to create more T3 - problem is the theory is too simple and doesn't work in many cases. Go back to the dose that worked for you for the reasons greygoose explained.
