Need help to distinguish between hypothyroid and adrenal symptoms.

Hello, I have Hypothroid and Adrenal Insufficiency (Addisons).I was first diagnosed with Addisons and then Hashimoto’s thyroiditis later. I have been able to manage my AI but wonder if some of the symptoms I have now are due to my thyroid, bad headaches, constipation, weight gain, joint and muscle pain. Some of these symptoms overlap between the two diseases but the headaches seem different, combination of a migraine centered above my eyes and nose and a tension headache on both sides of the back of my head which is generally worse at night. Has anyone else had migraines and tension headaches combined? Do they get worse with light sensitivity? What do you do regarding weight gain and hypothroid? I am currently taking Armour thyroid and hydrocortisone for AI. Thank you for any thoughts on this.

Hi I don't know anything about Addisons, but certainly the symptoms you mention can be due to hypothyroidism. Regarding weight gain, I've read that it's not a good idea to reduce calories when you're hypothyroid. Are you on an adequate dose of thyroid hormone? As your thyroid hormones improve, it should become easier to lose weight. Have you got any recent thyroid test results you could post to get some more feedback?
