I’m off to to the docs this morning to show her these results! My TPOAb looks ok (I think!) but my TGAb is very high. So looks like I have Hashimotos 😞 Any thing I could ask her? Had two miscarriages already and really want another baby.

Help needed
I have had my results back from private blood tests this morning too and mine are:
TSH 1.67
Free Thyroxine 15
Total Thyroxine 89.6
Free T3 4.1
Reverse T3 23
Thyroglobulin AB 552 (should be 0-115!)
Thyroid Peroxidase AB 16.8
Should I see my GP re the massively raised TG Ab?
I have pretty much all the symptoms of hypothyroidism.
Your thyroid hormone levels are very good. And it's unlikely that your GP will even know what the high antibodies mean, let alone do anything about it. So, don't be too disappointed if she just shrugs it off.
What do you suggest we do greygoose? Does is need medical attention or not?
Medical attention, no, I don't think there's anything they can do. Your thyroid hormone levels at this point are good. You don't need thyroid hormone replacement, which is about the only thing they will do.
The best thing you can do is just keep an eye on them, because at some point, they could drop.
However, you could try going 100% gluten-free, to see if that lowers antibodies.
Hey I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism back in 2016 and taking levothyroxine has clearly got that under control. Would you say from my results I have hashimotos? You were right- the GP couldn’t answer any of my questions but luckily I’ve got an endocrinologist meeting in a couple of weeks. Maybe he will be able to shed more light 🤞🏼🤞🏼
NHS is reluctant to diagnose Hashimoto's (they will call it autoimmune thyroid disease) just on high TG antibodies
They only really consider high TPO for diagnosis of autoimmune thyroid disease, as high TG can be due to other things

What about vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 levels. Have you had these tested? Are you supplementing? If so what?
Improving vitamins to be optimal, especially B12 and folate if TTC
Are you on strictly gluten free diet? If not that may help as well
Ask for coeliac blood test before changing
Avoiding absolutely all soya and soya lecithin too
Flouride free toothpaste too
Endocrinologists are usually disinterested in diet, gut, gluten or vitamins
Your FT3 is low, improving vitamins and gluten free may help
Selenium supplements can help improve conversion too
Vitamin C to support adrenals

Yeah I’m taking a good prenatal vitamin which has folate rather than folic. I take semlium, every day my vitimin d was 69 rather than the preferred 75. Ferritin was fine. I’ve just started to look into gluten free today and going to give it a go for a month and see what happens. The endocrinologist I’m seeing in two weeks has been highly recommended and he specialises in fertility so very keen to see him and see what he says. I don’t take vit c or b12 so maybe I need to look into that. I’m up early every morning.
