Hi all just wondered if I should stop taking Carbimazole,which I take for hyperthyroidism , before having my medichecks blood test. I notice that some people are advised to stop their meds and also have bloods taken after fasting. I am having the thyroid multivitamin test. Thank you.

Hi i am on carbi and was always told to leave it 24 hours before testing- but was also told that it only applys to hypos only-i used to fast and leave carbi off for the best part of 6 months whilst testing but no longer do as i have to have my bloods done by endo now and i have to travel so could not have a appt first thing to be able to fast.

See what other hypers do.😊😊
