I have developed two areas of swelling just below knee on inside leg. It must be fluid, soft, does not leave indentations if pressed? I am worried incase this spreads.

fluid inside of lower leg just below the knee any thoughts of what or why or what to do about?
I would love to know the answer too.
I have had this swelling below knees for about 5 years. It hasn't spread.
It has improved a bit with addition of T3, not quite as swollen or uncomfortable, but definitely not disappeared
It might indicate your heart is not working probably . My father in law had the same problem. Initially was leg swelling, blister around the swelling area. He had heart attack later , then stayed in the hospital for three weeks. He seems ok now after treatment . You must see your doctor for help.
Why don't you take a look at LSN (Lympthoedema forum) . Repeat your post on there and see if anyone can help?
I have similar. Had circulation problems much of my adult life. Have Lympthoedema. Also Arthritis in both knee caps as well as a meniscus tear. Could be Lympthoedema? ??
Thank you I will look up the lsm forum. I have artritic knees and proably a menicus tear as well.
If you are hypo, then it is probably myxoedema. The way to get rid of it is to optimise your T3.
Thanks goose. I will up t3 a bit, my pulse can take it.
I've had this problem a long time, and it seems to be part of severe swelling all over. It improves somewhat if I increase my T3, and also with certain diuretics, but I think there may be additional causes of my overall problem. I have tried to get the NHS to investigate, but of course I keep hitting a brick wall.
Diuretics can help if the problem is actually oedema caused by a circulatory or cardiac issue, but they won't help much if your problem is mainly due to myxoedema and/or lymphoedema.
